Official launching of the 12th Malaysia Gifts Fair

KUALA LUMPUR – Malaysian Gifts & Premium Association is back with the 12th edition of Malaysia Gifts Fair with its official launching and balloting day held on 12 th April 2022.

Organised by Malaysian Gifts & Premium Association (MGPA) and endorsed by Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE), this 3-day exhibition is ASEAN’s largest gifts, premium and stationary fair, bringing together various industry players from all over the world for exchange of ideas, sharing of knowledge and networking opportunities.

The 12 th Malaysia Gifts Fair is strongly supported by Malaysia Convention & Exhibition Bureau (MyCEB), an agency under the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture. MyCEB serves as a central hub to assist meeting and event planners to bid and stage international business events in Malaysia and act as a conduit for national product development.

“We are excited for MGF 2022 to be part of 3R initiative (Reset, Restart and Responsible), a recovery programme as announced by MyCEB. This puts our industry in an advantageous position to accelerate recovery and inspire growth” said Mr Ivan Loo, Organising Chairman of MGF 2022.

The launch ceremony was officiated by Yang Berhormat Datuk Seri Dr. Santhara J.P, Deputy Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture Malaysia. Also present was Mr Peh Leong Seng (President of Malaysian Gifts and Premium Association), Mr Ivan Loo (Organising Chairman of 12 th Malaysia Gifts Fair 2022), exhibitors and guests.

It will take time for tourist arrivals to recover' - Santhara

Meanwhile, speaking on the MGF, Santhara expressed hope that the exhibition would boost the economic growth of the country, as it is expected to attract some of 15,000 visitors including 1,500 international visitors from June 22-24.

He added that MGF was a great platform for gifts industry players to showcase their products and penetrate the global market.

“According to US Wonder, Research and Markets, the global gift market’s worth is currently estimated at USD62 billion or RM263 billion in 2022 and expected to increase significantly within two to five per cent per annum.

“Meanwhile in Malaysia, I was informed that the gift market is worth more than RM5 billion...Therefore, on behalf of MOTAC, we will provide our full support through this exhibition as an integral part of business events activity under the ambit of Malaysia Convention and Exhibition Bureau (MyCEB),” he said.

另一方面,由馬來西亞禮品商會(MGPA)舉辦的“第12屆馬來西亞禮品展”(Malaysia Gifts Fair)將從6月22日至24日,在吉隆坡會展中心(KLCC)展開。

馬來西亞禮品商會主席白隆成披露,今年禮品展其中一項最有趣項目為促銷產品設計獎(PPD),此獎項旨在讓有才華人士的設計獲認可、獎勵甚至與本地知名企業家合作,商業化相關產品。

為期3天的“第12屆馬來西亞禮品展”由馬來西亞禮品商會主辦、並獲馬來西亞對外貿易發展機構(MATRADE)及馬來西亞會議展覽局(MyCEB)支持。

Some 40% increase in inbound visitors after borders reopening

MGF, organised by the Malaysian Gifts and Premium Association (MGPA), is a three-day exhibition that brings together various industry players from all over the world to exchange ideas, share knowledge and networking opportunities.

MGF organising chairman Ivan Loo said MGF is strongly supported by the Malaysia Convention and Exhibition Bureau (MyCEB), which serves as a central hub to assist meeting and event planners to bid and stage international business events in Malaysia and acts as a conduit for national product development.
